Giants APPOINTS NEW CHAIRPERSON

Johannesburg, South Africa – The Johannesburg Giants Basketball Club is proud to announce the appointment of Ms. Berlina Moroole as its new Chairperson, marking a significant milestone in the club’s long-term strategic vision.

Ms. Moroole, a respected leader known for her passion for basketball, commitment to community development, and strong governance principles, steps into the role with a clear vision of elevating the Giants beyong the court.

In her official statement, Ms. Moroole expressed her excitement for the huge responsibility that rests on her shoulders as she begins this new chapter with the Giants who have just qualified for the 2026 BAL season.

“I am truly honored and incredibly excited to step into the role of Chairperson of the Johannesburg Giants Basketball Club. This position represents far more than a leadership title for me. The appointment of Ms. Moroole comes as the Johannesburg Giants strengthen their efforts to grow the sport at grassroots level, enhance player development structures, expand community engagement as well as reinforce operational excellence within the club.

Club CEO and Head Coach, Flosh Ngwenya, welcomed the appointment, noting that Ms. Moroole brings both heart and strategic insight to the position:
